Quickstep a fiery fiddle band featuring

Fiddle Tunes, Folksongs & Fancy Footwork - Supple Folk Music Series

American old-time tunes, sweet Celtic selections, story-telling songs and originals are presented with lovely skillful accompaniment from Quickstep - three fiddles, mandolin, guitars and banjo. John, Trish & Sara have played music together for over two decades, and in 2011, were selected as musical ambassadors to Eastern Europe by the US State Department. Katie is a new asset to the group adding harmony vocals, and her multi-instrumental ability. Themes of many selections are rooted in the local lore of the Adirondacks and northeast woodlands. John leads the group with warm songs and quick picking on mandolin and guitar. Percussive clogging and footwork is featured from Trish. Sara is fierce with her fiddling and fine songs from the farm life and Katie is a fresh voice with a remarkable sense for improvisation.

John & Trish have known Catherine & Jerry Supple from music sessions together and folk music events they sponsored in many venues. They are honored to bring their group to Texas to play some tunes & songs that the Supples kept popular for many years.
