.{have harp will travel} EMILY LEVIN has performed as Guest Principal Harp with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Houston Symphony, and regularly appears with the New York Philharmonic. As a soloist, she has performed throughout North America and Europe, in venues including Carnegie Hall (New York), the Kimmel Center (Philadelphia) and Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Rugen, Germany). At the request of conductors Jaap van Zweden and John Adams, she appeared as soloist with the DSO in 2018 and 2019; other concerto performances include the Jerusalem, Colorado and West Virginia Symphony Orchestras, the Louisiana Philharmonic, the Lakes Area Music Festival, and the Indiana University Festival Orchestra, among others. Her debut album, Something Borrowed, explores the art of musical borrowing with works inspired by language, literature, and culture. For the album, the Classical Recording Foundation named her their 2017 Young Artist of the Year.

DR. JACOB HARRISON is the Director of Orchestral Activities and Associate Professor of Conducting at Texas State University. At his previous institution, he received multiple awards for his teaching as the director of the orchestra program and professor of conducting at Iowa State University.

As an in-demand conductor and educator, Jacob maintains a busy schedule conducting professional orchestras, all-state and honor ensembles, and offering clinics around the country. Recent engagements include leading performances with the Arizona Ballet and The Phoenix Symphony, the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, All-State Orchestras in Arizona, Iowa, and North Carolina, and clinics in Arizona, Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Since this is about entertainment, we want to make sure you know what to expect in your evening with us in hopes of curbing some possible frustrations.

Performances begin promptly on time.

The doors to the chamber will open approximately 15 minutes before the performance.

Any late comers will be held until an appropriate time to enter.

Fee based parking is available at the Edward Gary Parking Garage (405 Edward Gary Pkwy) directly behind the Performing Arts Center.
