Volunteers will NOT be allowed to watch the performance that they are working. There are responsibilities during the performance that volunteers will need to attend to.
2111 Students represent the College of Fine Arts and Communication and the Department of Theatre and Dance to the public. Students should be dressed in a professional manner that would reflect positively upon the University and the program. Certain standards have been set by the University President, Dean of the College, and the departmental chairs of the time to cover expectations of what proper dress should be for box office, ushers, and greeters.
Students who arrive in attire that is inappropriate will be sent home and (2) hours added to their requirements.
White or black blouse or collared shirt.
A blouse must cover the shoulders.
Shirts must be buttoned appropriately.
Chest is not to be exposed.
Midriff is not to be exposed.
Knee length (or longer) skirts.
Knee length (or longer) dresses. Must have sleeves that at least cover the shoulders.
Black Jeans (non-faded).
Comfortable shoes are suggested.
Inappropriate Attire Includes:
Rips or Holes in pants or shirts
Sandals/ flip flops
Hats or Baseball Caps
Overly sloppy or casual dress
If a student has questions if something is appropriate, they will take a picture and e-mail it to the House Manager.
Understandably, there are those who cannot afford to purchase clothing. There is an on-campus clothing resource to help:

Students may schedule an appointment to visit the Career Closet or visit during drop-in hours below. Check-in at the Career Services office located on the 5th floor of the LBJ Student Center. Appointments: Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm*
SCHEDULE CONFLICTS & CANCELLATIONS
Once a student signs up for a shift, the shift is their responsibility.
If student is unable to work the shift, it is their responsibility to fill the shift. Once the replacement is identified, the student will e-mail the House Manager and cover copy the replacement.
If the replacement does not show, the responsibility does fall to the student who originally signed up.
No shows will have (2) hours added to their requirements.
If you are signed up to work, you are expected to be at the event the entire time unless otherwise noted.
All students must return to their posts to assist guests with the doors and to answer questions.
AFTER THE EVENT:
All students will return to their posts and assist patrons with doors and exiting the theatre.
All students will help clean the house by picking up debris left behind as instructed by the House Manager.
All students will be released by the House Manager when duties are concluded.
